We normally stay in the Jayakarta Appartments. We have stayed in the Jayakarta hotel section (once) and found the rooms to be small and in need of an upgrade. Things may have improved though in the past couple of years.
We love Jayakarta in terms of location - the restaurants just outside along the beach - fabulous! The pools are great, the walk from the appartments to the hotel isn't as long as you would think. The breakfasts I felt were pretty average. However, being so close to the restaurants meant we had breaky at a new place each day at very affordbale prices.
I love staying in the Legian/Seminyak area, so you may need to weigh up which area you would rather stay in. I have never stayed at the Dynasty but if you do a forum serach, you will find loads of feedback regarding this hotel.
