We are travelling from Brisbane to Sydney soon to fly Garuda to Bali. On return to Brisbane we were hoping we could get Duty Free Alcohol in Sydney Have been talking to friends and they had bottles taken off them even though they were in transit on Thai airways travelling from KL via Sydney to Brisbane..same plane and were in transit lounge..werent allowed to leave it on the plane due to cleaning...was taken off them and put in locked bin...no warning in KL or by Thai airways...told it was Sydney airport security.
