A small but adequate supermarket/department store in Candi Dasa. Several money changers in the main street where I have never needed to count my money. [But of course I do LOL!]
Good driver who we have been very happy to patronise on several occasions. Wayan Manek [Nick] ph 081 8353501. We have many happy memories of trips short ang long with our good friend Nick and would appreciate you saying "Hi" to him from Rex and Emiko, also to Wayan, owner of Warung Pini, and to the people at Warung Puspa in the main street.
If you would like a more varied and more traditional shopping experience to Candi Dasa, ask Nick to take you to the Amlapura markets. Also in that area, the water palace at Tirtagangga and beautiful mountain and rice terrace scenery. Nick knows where to stop on the road for the best photos. A good round trip is up to Amed [not one village, but a string of villages along the coast, with Lipah village having a good selection of warungs] and then back to Candi Dasa on the inland road past Tirtagangga.
Going in the other direction, a short trip to Padang Bai. This is the ferry port for Lombok, but apart from the ferry terminal is like an old Balinese fishing village which is gradually becoming more touristy.
Plenty of good scenery in the Candi Dasa area. Where are you staying?
