I have scoured Bali on every visit trying to source band Tshirts.
I have found a few stores that have quite a good selection.
In Kuta you can get band shirts at Suicide Glam & Electrohell.Really cool stuff & very well made but not as cheap as other places.
In Tuban there is a store called Grindcorner (Almost directly across the street from the Jatra Hotel)Lots of heavy Metal & Punk stuff including bags & stickers.Cheap as chips aswell!
In Denpasar there is a shop called Riform (not sure of the address but the guys at Suicide Glam will point you in the right direction.)which has loads of shirts,pants,stickers,patches & belts which are really, really cheap.
Always take a look in the department stores aswell you'll almost always find a hidden section amongst everything else with some really cool(& very cheap) shirts.I found an Iron Maiden vintage look Tshirt with an iron on transfer a few years ago amongst the casual wear.Go figure!
I guess it all depends on what bands you are looking for.
You can always do what I do,if you see a local wearing a shirt ask where they got it from.They always have the best little shops tucked away off the beaten track that they are quite happy to show you where they are.
