Ok...sorry if I misinterpreted your post. I put up the quote as a happy memory of Bali, not as a put down.
I was ready for a "Political Correctness" reply and you came in (as I read your reply) with what I was expecting. I fully accept that not all are fully English literate at the highest level in any English speaking country. I also stated my respect for the the Balinese people's language abilities - they have to slip between languages far more than I do.
I still say that you can find amusement in " half English (you follow me)??" without laughing at the author.
