Although Garuda has put a note with our booking stating that we are carrying donations for humanitarian reasons, I'm concerned that the bags may be subjected to a search and we will be forced to hand over $ to unscrupulous customs agents, this is despite the fact that we won't be carrying any duty free items.
I had previously written to Garuda regarding the excess luggage we would be carrying and they did not respond, however it was our travel agent who found out that Garuda had made a notation on our booking.
Has anyone been in this situation? What did you do?
