He sits at the front entrance of Bintang supermarket with a large bag of frames etc. He gets the glasses from the same places that the optic shops in Kuta get them. Just cuts out the shop overheads etc.
As far as testing goes, yes he does, in a fashion. He took my old glasses and looked thorugh them. Then he got out the frame thing they use at the optometrists and put in 2 lenses, telling me one was a stronger lens (which was right). I put them on and they were perfect, read all the signs etc. Took one day but he could have got them back in a few hours.
Yes 600,000rp included the frames, case and a bottle of cleaning lotion. And he is a nice man.
