in Brisbane last Thursday afternnoon- around 4pm. They asked that Travel to Indonesia and Bali be cancelled. I phoned my husband but he did not hear about it. We looked up the national news on the net- nothing, so waited for the 6 pm news on T.V but still nothing was mentioned. I looked up the dfat site and there was an update that isued new travel warnings from that day- 31 st May. My friend suggested that it may have something to do with an important diplomat from Jaykarta or Java who was in Sydney- apparently his hotel room was searched after federal police had been given the master key. He cut short his stay and left in disgust. He has since accepted an apology. These are only sketchy details. However I am still going to BAli on 14 June. I have worked and saved hard and sacrificed many things to get my family to Bali for this holiday.
