I didnt appreciate my last visit to Bali via Garuda in August leaving from Brisbane direct enough. Now that its taken away and the option is to fly to Sydney and if you fly Garuda a direct flight, I certainly do. Garuda - please come back - we miss you. Looking at Qantas flights and the option is Gold Coast - Sydney - Perth - Denpasar - I could be in LA in the same time. Absolutely ridiculous when there is so much business here for them both at least once a week. The old "see your own backyard first" is starting to look more attractive all the time when you have 30 hours travel added to your itinerary.
