Your glasses must be an extreme shade of rose to describe Gili T as you have.

Gili Trawangan is OK. If you stay in a nice hotel, and stick to the parts of the beach that are kept reasonably clean, and try to avoid the drunken, drugged up party people, then sure you can have an enjoyable holiday.

However, your blog is wildly fanciful in describing the island. It's a bit like the blogs that describe Bali as some pristine, idealic, peaceful tropical island. That's not Bali but it's an image that some like to promote.

Gili T is known as the party island. Drugs are rampant. Prostitution is rampant. Pollution is a big issue. Poverty is an issue. It is a malaria zone, don't stay there unless you are on malarials.

"Imagine a society where police are not needed to govern or uphold the law as people are well mannered and behave appropriately without the need of authority. "

Excuse me, but what a load of rot. You obviously know nothing about the social issues of Gili T. Have you even stayed there? And if you have, did you actually look around outside of the nice hotel??

"Imagine a society where theres no pollution - not one car is present, no factories and the only form of transport is horse, bike or horse and kart therefore no petrol polluted streets leaving people breathing in air as fresh as can be."

Another pile of rot. You only need to put on a snorkel to see the (if the water if clear that day) rubbish and plastics under the water - the reef is broken and virtually no colour left to be seen. And there is no sewerage treatment. Take a walk through the back-streets to see the pollution.

I don't think you have been to many of the islands of Indonesia to describe Gili T as 'probably the best'.
