10 great days in Bali, very sad to leave but hopefully we will be back in November, Plane trip from Cairns is always a hassle as you get into Bali after midnight and have to change flights at Darwin and with 3 kids it ain't much fun but at least you know its a little bit of pain for a lot of joy. We finally arrive at the hotel at 1235 am ,We stayed at the Bali Dynasty for the third time as we have the 3 kids, the place was as good as ever but quite busy as there was a large group from bayer staying there as well as what appeared to be some religious group, neither of which bothered us at all. The staff where excellent as usual and the food great, when we arrived we where given a kiddies suite but we had asked for a family room, we found the kiddies suite to be to small and asked to be moved to a family room, it took 2 days but when one became avaliable we where moved " much better " We spent the first couple of days relaxing and shopping, then we booked a tour on the bali buggy,s , what a great time we had. The tracks are quite rough but we managed to get around them even though I had my brakes fail and ran into the guy in front, had to live with the nickname BANGER for the rest of the tour. The usual balinese style followed with the guys hammering a bolt in and saying all ok now. not the case unfortunatly. They got me a new buggy pretty quickly and we where on our way again, had a great day and saw some sites and had a nice lunch and would recommend it even though its a 2 hr drive to get there. More relaxing and shopping ensued for the next few days then the 8 year old boy was sick for a couple of days, once he was feeling better we booked a trip to lembongan island, I walked out of the Dynasty tour office to hear my 5 year old crying, she had just fallen down the marble staircase in the foyer and was complaining of a sore neck and shoulder, after 1/2 hr in the room she was still in a great deal of pain so we called reception for the inhouse doctor, when the doctor arrived he was very proffesional and examined my daughter and suggested that xrays where in order for a possible broken collar bone, We went to the BIMC hospital where again everyone was great and the xrays came back negitive and only torn muscles and bruising . it did slow her up for the rest of the trip and she found dressing, swimming etc hard, we returned to the Dynasty at about 2am and the staff where very concerned for her welfare and we recieved phone calls from staff and the doctor the next day asking of her condition . This was not a cheap exercise and I am yet to contact our travel insurance company but I have no complaints with the treatment she recieved. Two days later off to lembongan Is we had a great day snorkelling, banana boat , island trip and submersiable boat ride.We had a great lunch on the island, fun trip but very tiring,
On the last day of the trip we visited waterbom and had a great day. All in all even with our problems we had a great trip , picked up some bargins ate great food and enjoyed good company and great sevice . Here is a list of the resturants we ate in and found every one great AROMAS, GREEN GARDEN , WARU BATAN, GRACIE KELLYS, FEBRIS, CAFE PIAZZA (dynasty) and last of all a new restaraunt we found called LOSARI'S very very nice and quite cheap. Hope you all enjoyed reading about our trip as much as we ENJOYED having it.
