My bank Westpac decided to increase their charges for use of overseas ATM'S, not too sure if other banks have followed. I used to get charged a straight $5.00 but now it is $5.00 for the local bank, as well as a commission fee to Master card for conversion rate and plus the original Westpac fee as well. Ended up costing me $13.50 to withdraw 2,500,000Rp. So i guess the mathematicians can tell us what's best, the old fashioned travelers cheques, cash or ATM's.
