orphange

whilst in bali i will be visiting the catholic orphange donating cloths, one of my work colleges, visited 2 months ago and said they required ponchoes and umbrellas. would it be better if i donateded the money so that they can purchase them, if not can any body put me in the reight direction to buy these items.
