Just got back 3 weeks ago, Hired a bike. Only way to travel. Not stopped this time by police but stopped 18 months ago for a license check. Check your insurance and see if you need your Australian and International license otherwise you might not be covered in an accident. Its not for the faint hearted but if you know what you are doing and have recent experience its a cheap and fun way to travel and see the sights. You can get a "MIO", a good fully automatic scooter, near new for about 35,000 a day including helmets. Less if you shop around.
