Firstly, of course, this is so sad for the people who work there. From your posts this is/was a fabulous hotel mostly due to the staff there. Big reason why we've booked there.
Do you know anything about accom that would be booked for 7th-12th May. Is it still going to be operating then do you think? Your post sounded like it could happen in the next week or two.
Very sad for you as I know you loved this hotel.
