expectancy, the lower birth mortality rate, less chance of contracting a life threatening illness, clean water, opportunity to work in an occupation which reflects your intelligence and skills, opportunities to provide some comfort for parents and other family in their old age and the chance to not have to live away from your wife and children for years in order to earn a couple of dollars a day.
I think that the Bali Dream as you call it only really exists for tourists and a select group of employed, financial Balinese.
