Tuesday March the 27th we turned up at Legends for Sharon 27's birthday. Now naturally we are a bit older than Sharon and the rest of the girls,so we thought that if we get there around 5pm and have a few Bintangs that the girls would rock up about 7pm and we could hang around for awhile and then disappear quietly. But no, Sharon Tina,Belinda,Didi,Lauren and Sue turned up at 9pm and by this time Mrs Hools and myself had a real good glow up.In fact, it was such a good glow I got up and serenaded Sharon with The house of the Rising Sun(I don't know wether a song about a New Orleans brothel was appropriate,but I didn't care)and a Creedance song that I can't remember. The band only let me sing two songs and I don't know if
it was because I was better or worse than their singer.
Anyway it was another good night!
It was about this time that Helen, Bali Kaluargara(spelling! I keep getting mixed up with Caligula)and son Shane arrived at the hotel and it was nice once again to put a face to a name. Lovely lady!.
We went for dinner one night at Drops and once again it was a very nice meal. When it came time to leave Blue was going to catch a cab with old Bruce and Shirl and Mrs Hools and I were going to follow with Blues' wife Gail .
It was just starting to rain, and old Shirl who has trouble walking at the best of times was being helped into the cab by Blue and as old Bruce got into one side of the cab the open door got stuck on top of the footpath and wouldn't close. Blue started to get the sh*ts and while trying to put Shirl in the cab and close the door in the rain he dropped his glasses into a puddle of water. Suddenly all the traffic had banked up and started to blow their horns. Panic set in and I could see the steam starting to rise from Blues' head.
Now Blue who is ex navy, Irish, a red head and not exactly a midget blew his stack ,found his wet glasses ,wrenched the door off the gutter, slammed the door shut ,walked around to the back of the cab and faced all the cars blowing horns (who by this time were laughing their heads off)and let fly with "For chr*sts sake get stuffed". By this time he had attracted a crowd and they where laughing too. So he stormed off into his cab slammed his door shut and took off.
Obviously we decided to wait until the traffic cleared before we caught our cab. He wasn't with us !
We caught a cab over to Sanur to catch up with Mr Bloodyron.
Arrived at his Villas and had a few Bintangs with him and his mother Ellwyn who was a delightfull lady, and must have had her work cut out bringing up little Ronny.
We sat by Rons pool most of the afternoon and then decided to go down to the S,S&S bar which was only 5 minutes walk from Rons' place.
What a great little set up ,sitting at Nyomans bar looking out over the water and watching the planes coming into land.
We met one of Rons mates Garry ,who just like Blue and myself is a Vietnam Vet (old Bruce is WW11) and swapped a few war stories.
I was going to show Garry my bayonete wound, but Blue new it was only a scar from my shoulder surgery last year,so I thought better of it. I will now have to find some unsuspecting sole on Anzac day to show.

It was another good afternoon and I can recommend a visit to S,S&S.
Ron and Ellwyn came over to see us in Legian a few days later. We met at the Bamboo Corner Bar and Ron introduced us to Shauna (Imyblood) and her son.
From there we ended up back at KP and sat out the back in the restaurant and enjoyed a few more Binnies and watched the world go by.
Ron is a wealth of knowledge and we all enjoyed his and his mothers company and will certainly look them up in September.
Finally on our last day there was a blindinding flash of light and who should appear,no one other than Aunty Jack (Hillary).We later worked out that she wasn't heaven sent but the blinding light was just the suns rays bouncing off her Martha Tillar laden face.
She certainly doesn't look 75 Mr Bloodyron ,more like 45 (cough, cough).
Hillary and her husband Brian joined us for a few beers around the pool and it was really nice to catch up with them .
I might as well come clean ,Hillary is bring back some MT cream for Mrs Hools !.
I wasn't going to say anything ,but I am quite sure Aunty Jack would have told you.
Summary: We had a great holiday,even though it was bloody HOT.
The highlight would have to be meeting a lot of forumites and puting a face to a name e.g Sharon27,TinaG,Belinda, Didiaust,Struth,July57k, Irene,Lozza (Sue and Lauren),Helen (Bali "Caligula"),Smudgeuk (briefly), Hillary and husband Brian, Bloody ron and mum Ellwyn, Inmyblood,
