I met my boyfriend(now fiancee) nearly 2 years ago, he has been out here twice now and luckily loves it, its such a different world for them and to see the way that our culture is, but also works in reverse, you need to see their culture and no matter how hard you try you will never be able to change their culture... Its definetly a good idea for him to come out and see the lifestyle difference and the way your normal life is, especially if you are planning to marry(and im assuming living in aus). Its not an easy road and i have seen many relationships fail because there are just 2 many cultural differences, but i have also seen a lot of them still going strong. I have been very lucky and have had the opportunity to travel there every 2 months and have spent long periods of time there, which i also think is important to do as well as living in a balinese community is extremely different to going and sitting in a resort. Tnere is a lot that you two will need to work through.. We are currently in the process of the fiancee visa(which is a nightmare!!), i dont want to go into it too much here, but your welcome to email me to find out more etc..
