annual travel insurance policy with QBE. They told us that if she carries epi-pens we need to get our doctor to fill out a form & we had to forward that to their 'Medical Assessment Centre' and they would let us know whether they would cover us & how much extra it would cost if they would. We were really worried as we'd planned a 5 week trip to the US & a Caribbean cruise. They took 2 working days plus the weekend in between to get back to us, but approved cover AND more amazingly didn't charge us any extra! As you could imagine, I was expecting them to charge extra and would have had to pay it. I don't know whether the fact that we have had an annual family umlimited policy with them for 8 consecutive years without a claim made any difference. I also don't know whether it would have to be an annual policy, or whether they can do this for single trips or whether my husband being Qantas staff makes a difference. Anyway, probably worth your while checking it out!
Cheers, Sue
