Every year we say that was our best trip ever, well I will have to say it again.

Jetstar was not so bad. Departing flight was fine and on time. If you dont happen to book a personal movie player there are movies shown like the old days on large overhead screens anyway. We had booked FF flights with qantas orininally then taken over by Jetstar. We got full service, meal, drinks and blankets. One complimentary drink only with our meal.
We also happened to be on the cancelled flight home last Saturday. Jetstar were very professional about the situation. Within half an hour of arriving at the airport we were on a bus to the Ramada with food and drink allowances plus breakfast the next day. Then transfered to a qantas flight home on the Sunday with full service. No complaints from us!!

We have not been to Bali so soon after the wet season and found out that the surf was still not so good. June for us next year!

We stayed at Puri Raja. The original staff were all back after the renovations and were just as accomodating as we remembered them. The place looks amazing and no one reserved the pool lounges!

A highligh of our trip this year was 2 nights spent at Villa Rumah Kami in Lembongan. We were waited on hand and foot by the lovely manager, Komang. Nothing was too much trouble.
Komang arranged all of our activities for us (island tour and snorkeling in an outrigger), very reasonably priced too.
All food was prepared in the Villa's kitchen by the very talented Ayu. I really enjoyed sitting at the bench watching her at work and picking up a few tips!
Waking to the birdlife, roosters and of course that amazing view.

We had many massages and treatments. Chill my all time fav. Febri's for my first time and it was amazing. The most relaxed and pampered I have ever felt and as always the MBR spa for manicures, pedicures and crem baths.

My 16 year old son would like to be a graphic designer and took over his t-shirt designs. We had them screen printed at Indographs in Legian for around $7 (including good quality T) each with 2 colors on the print. The min. order was 10 per design, he had 50 t's printed and they look fab. I have washed them and they came out a treat! Now he has to do the sales pitch to his mates.

Also my 16 yo nagged at us for a henna tatoo. Six years ago he had a nasty reaction to one and ended up in the BIMC for a few days on a drip. He was certain it would be ok this time, so we let him go ahead with one but had to wait till the last day of our trip just in case. Well his arm is a mess. He is off to the Doctor's for the second visit tomorrow and we are dressing it daily. I think he has learned hid lesson this time.

Ate at: Indo National, Cafe Moka, Lanai, Seaside, Zanzibar, Tekkor, TJ'S, Goshas,La Monde, Blue Ocean, Warung 96, Indah at Pacung and visited Crackers Bar for a Bintang and loo inspection. Food and service at all were fantastic.

Kids and hubby went to Waterbom for the day, I enjoyed a day to myself shopping.

Looking forward to next year, It will be a long wait but at least the surf is guaranteed in June.

Cheers, Julie
