Hi Julie
I asked this same question about 6 months ago and tha consensus was that boncrete would go yellow in the Sun (UV problems), I didnt use it for that reason and eventually used a Slate sealer (water based) which I sprayed on. It worked very well but there was a minimum amount of yellowing caused by the sealer once it dried. We used it on all outdoor statues, water feature etc to guard again Grandchildren the elements etc . A Spinoff benefit was that the white stone that was so very easly marked prior to sealing was as tough as glass after. so far so good after 6 months (also we dont get the mould growing on the porus stone),
Cheers GnM
