Ellabea, the Hawkers are very friendly and not aggressive. I can tell you they sell the best watches in Bali, maybe a little more expensive, around $8AUS.But we have never had any problems with them, if so we return them to the hawkers and they fix the problem or replace the watch.Always happy. We usually buy a dozen batteries from them and replace as they wear out during the year untill we can return to NDBH. Which is about twice a year. Such a beautiful location and hotel. The Japanese Restaurant in the hotel is excellent, and just a short walk passed the Club Med hotel you come to a little bar with a restaurant on the sand. Walk up one afternoon and have an icy icy cold beer/cocktail. Tables and chairs on the sand and that lovelly beach in front. Perfect. We can recommend Bumbu Bali and Kecak, both owned by the same owners. Excellent Balinese food, Bumbu Bali is smaller and a little enclosed, but that does not distract from the wonderful food. Thebaby turtles swimming around the water way make it amazing. Kecak a little further up the road, more open and bigger, nice big fans over head. Bumbu Bali can get a wee hot. But hey, its Bali. We go to NDBH again in May, through the forum we are checking out these restaurants in Benoa, do a search it may help, but these are, La Scala, (Opp Grand Mirage Hotel) and Papillion (Opp Penninsula Hotel), also heard Coco Bistro (Opp Ashton not bad.) Hope this helps. Those breakfasts at the NDBH are excellent. Enjoy. Carn't wait to see those cute cheeky squirrels again.
