Hello everyone l will try not to bore you all too much so here it goes.
We started off on the 27th of March myself husband and 2 children and my sons friend, arrived at the airport 3 hours prior as l like to get there with plenty of time to spare and shop duty free of course
We checked in no dramas and hung around till departure the flight was ok flying jetstar though l must say anyone who needs to use earphones take your own theirs are hopeless, we hired portable dvd players for the kids kept them entertained for about an hour not work the money in my books.
Arrived bali around 10.50pm and l will say l would never catch such a late flight again waste of a day, went through immigration no problems and cleared customs.
We were greeted by our usual driver PUJA number one guy use him on every trip to bali, arrived at the hotel around 11.40pm.
We checked in and were shown to our room l will not say who we rented our room from ( dont think its fair to do so ) but they were private owners and l will say l was very dissapointed in their room, the room was dull and lacking life we had ant problems and had to keep asking for towels, never the less we did not let this upset us. we unpacked went to bed did not want to wake up to the thought of unpacking.
Day 1, we decided to take this day easy and relax mainly around the resort being the Jaya*arta resort where we stay all the time and are always happy, the kids needed adjusting so decided just laze around the pool .
We went to Mykinos restauant that night in seminyak l love this place and always try to go at least once each trip its a Greek restaurant.
Day 2. were picked up by our driver for a day of shopping he took us anywhere we wanted to go , we went to denpesar matahari ramayana, Geneva, kuta art market took all day and returned to the hotel with lots of shopping.
That night we went to Tj's mexican and it was superb as always the kids just loved all this beautiful food and ordering anything they wanted my oldest son loved his watermelon juices yummy. We also went to discovery mall and took the kids to Amazone great time and its so cheap.
Day 3 was a restful day around the pool and did some shopping out on the streets, even my youngest boy was starting to learn to say "NO thankyou" LOL or call out TAXI when needed he he how they learn fast.
Day 4 We started off after breakfast to the Si*ilia spa where we had booked massages for all of us their driver came to pick us up and the family relaxed and enjoyed their massages while l had some foot work done,.did some more shopping went to lunch at the flying piano where we met the lady owner and her litle girl Petria she is adorbale and bonded with us especialy with our youngest litle boy, we invited her back to the hotel for a swim which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Day 5 We were picked up where we had booked a horse riding tour l have used them before and as usual was happy we all hopped on our horses and started off on our walk along the beach, l thought l would have trouble with my boys being scared but it was the hubby that was the most frightened LOL we were a mile in front while he walked as slow as a snail poor guy l felt for him NOT LOL. The ride went for aprox 2 hours and then went for lunch which was included in the price had a fantastic day kids thought it was the highlight of the trip,
Day 6 thought we just take it easy of course having sore backsides did not help "he he " Did more shopping.
Day 7 went to waterbom park hired a gazebo which was fantasic its your own private little hut and worth the 50,000 rupiah. Kids went on all the rides l was only brave enough to try 2 of them the macaroni and the jungle ride though l did spend a couple of hours floating on the lagoon type ride you dont have to do anything but lay back and relax and the current pushes your around l forget the name?
Kids and hubby even did the boomerang ride wow it looked scary (big chicken me). its worth going so do go.
Spent the day there and before heading home went to discovery mall across the road had to go to bread talk mind you been our 4th isit there in the week they make the best bread and butter pudding.
Day 8 spend half a day at the pool started tofeel a little sad about going home in 3 days even the kids were saying they didn't want to leave, but anyways we had 3 days to go and made the most of it, we went to the monkey forest and Tanah lot in the afternoon, what an experience for the kids to see those cute monkeys everywhere and they even got to feed a fruit bat and get a picture taken with them, he had a giant snake there too if you were game to hold it you could have , but we gave that one a miss
Dont think l would go to Tanah lot again but the monkey forest for sure besides they sell the most nicest sweet barbecued corn and coconuts there .
The last couple of days we spent shopping and swimming and just relaxing, retaurants we went to were, Blue Ocean. Italian trottaria, TJ"S, La monde, (very good value ) Poco locos, Mykinos, Flying piano, Tommys which l will say will not go there again shocking food. Also Goshas in melasti street it was seafood beautiful, their calamari were so tender l could actually eat them and not have to chew on them like most times.
Our holiday was over and it was time to head to the airport, checked it with jetstar no problem, went through security even got frisked everyone did extra security in place now which is good, waited to board our plane was delayed about an hour l started to worry as we had a connecting flight from Sydney to melbourne knew we would not make it couldn't do anything about it and we were all thirsty no water was given out couldn't l asked for a water was told there is a fountain down the aisle near the toilets it was so grotty yuk, wanted to buy a drink even that took 30 mins to come not good service at all.
We got some sleep little not much and arrived at Sydney ariport late of course missed our connecting flight even though we were told the connecting flight would wait for us yeah sure it did! Jetstar also told me as soon as we got out of customs their was going to be ground staff to show us where to go to catch another connecting flight but nope noone there either, l wa so ticked off by this stage, with kids tired and one with a sore ear l was not in the mood to be running around Sydney airport decided to ask information where l was to go, you think she knew??
NOPE she did not have a clue , we just started running around in circles finally found the Qantas check in and bingo we checked in as were booked on a fllight to Melbourne 2 hours later not too bad.
Got to Melbourne only to be told our lugguage did not come with us on out flight something to do with the conveyer belts not working ha ha what else could go wrong.
I had to wait another 2 hours in Melbourne for our lugguage.
I am not happy with Jetstars service and have informed them of such.
Unless they offer incredable cheap airfares l would not travel with them again, then again l guess what you pay for is what you get.
To sum it up we had a great time the best actually the kids loved it so much they are wanting to know when we are going back!
I have told them next year but for me its the end of August woohoo yeah l have a great husband Who in turn has a great boss because without her he wouldn't be able to have the time off for me to go, so thanks
Hope l have not bored you if anyone has any questions feel free to ask.
bye for now.
