4-5 hours in a rusty old tub over water that regularly blows up in huge swells over the deepest sea in the world. Many passengers have exploded rather than use the toilets. Aggressive touts will snatch your bags and demand huge ransoms while kids pour water over your feet and demand payment for washing your shoes.
As Lombok is a muslim country , all 3* hotels are next to mosques that blast out the call to prayer well before dawn.
The beaches and islands are lovely and you'll love your visit.
