when my oldest was 5 months which we used with a baby bjorn as well. This year we will take a back carrier for when we aren't using the jogger.
We put our youngest in the toddler seat now and the older in the main seat, this distributes the weight so it is far more stable although we never have a problem the other way around. I think the stability is an issue with certain joggers but not all.
I'm not fussed about the weight as it isn't included in baggage allowance and the benefits far out weigh the negatives.
