there is a lot of problems with it and a lot of programs won't work with it. If I was you I would wait for 1 year before I would buy it and the one you should buy is "Home Premium", "Home Basic" is no good and the others are not worth it for you. You can buy it if you want and the Activation code is all over the internet but you will not be able to get any updates from Microsoft web site with the serial you will get with it.
