on what you have done and where gone - remember that if he has taken you to Bird Park, Elephants, orchid Garden, Spa, etc,etc he will have received a commission of around 40% of all entrance fees, spa charges etc. If you have been shopping he will also have got 20 - 50% commission. Some silver, gold and pearl shops offer even more. If you are active during your stay your tip will be a small part of the driver's return from your visit. After 15+ years at both sides of tourism in Bali I think tipping should be left to the Americans only and kept out of Bali.
