I think if your son is more likely to catch bugs, more so than ever, make sure he washes his hands regularly. There are so many things that we touch in Bali, the money, passer-bys hands, door handles etc etc, that no doubt carry new strains of bugs. Buy some of the anti-bacterial gel solution, which you and or he can keep at hand, as well as buy some wipes. Always before eating cleanse the hands and needless to say after toilet stops.
We always start the day in Bali with 10ml of pure raspberry juice and an inner health plus tablet, as a preventative.
I would also never take antibiotics as a preventative, nor would a doctor prescribe them (well I dont think they would).
