& if you haven'tchosen to pay for a seat I don't believe they get the full 20kg allowance. When I last checked infants were given a 10kg allowance with Qantas. I just kept our daughter in the pram until we reached the gate, they then took the pram from us to store in the hold & it was waiting at the gate when we disembarked at the other end. So, the weight was never an issue as it wasn't weighed (although they did give us a tag for it when we checked in). I have seen quite a few parents take an umbrella stroller (the really lgiht ones that fold down fairly small, like a full length umbrella) on board Qantas flights, but I guess it may depend on the aircraft size. Hope this helps, though I know that regulations do change. Cheers, Sue.
