When we flew Jetstar last December, we printed off the first page of the e-ticket. When we reached the counter at the Airport, the ground staff used a barcode reader to read the barcode on the e-ticket.
One alarming thing was that the ground staff did not give us the baggage labels and attach them to the ticket. We had to return to the counter and insist that this was done. Their initial response was that they no longer do this for efficiency reasons.
We also produced the e-ticket at the Bali Airport and the same process was repeated.
