My method of using taxis is to hail the nearest at the time I need one, regardless of the colour or company of the taxi. As a woman travelling solo, I could have been an easy mark.
All have taken the quickest way to where I want to go. I have yet to meet a discourteous taxi driver in whatever taxi I use & they turn their meters on now without me having to ask (a few of years ago this wasn't the case) & their metered rates are the same. Taxis are affected by the numerous one way streets, road works and the time of day travelled - which will impact on you regardless of who you travel with.
By only using Bluebird taxis, you would be discriminating against other taxi drivers trying to earn an honest living. And that's not fair.
