My wife and I had the distinction? of being thrown out of a taxi in no mans land. We had broken our golden rule of only using Blue Taxis and being regulars to Sanur I knew what the meter usually read at different points along the way to Kuta. I told the driver his meter wasn't right, he abused us stopped the cab and told us to get out. We were right in the red light area (or should I say white cross area) of Sanur.
Luckily a bemo came along and we hired him for the hairiest ride into Kuta
