There are a whole lot of issues in this thread. The need for immunisation/prophylaxis depends on the risk. If you're spending 10 days in Kuta, the risk of Hep A & typhoid is low and of malaria is minimal, so there's a good case for not having anything. If you're spending 30 days in Nusa Tenggarah Timur with kids then, while you'll PROBABLY be OK, you need to consider what you'll feel like if you lose a child to a preventable disease that affects about 300 million people worldwide annually (malaria) - and kills people, including tourists, occasionally in Bali (Lovina) & Lombok, as well as in the more remote areas. HepA is unlikely to be a serious illness for a child but can make an adult crook for a month.
See a travel medicine clinic (or a GP who has interest in travel medicine) if you're traveling off the beaten track, ask specific questions about risk & side effects and follow the advice you've paid for.
