Much appreciated and very helpful. We are going in less than 4 weeks & I was just thinking I need to compile a list of places to eat. Last time we ate mostly at Febri's which suited us as we had all 3 kids and the setting and prices were good for us. This time only taking the 14mth old so I am hoping to feel confident leaving him with a babysitter and trying a few dinners by ourselves, haven't had a meal alone without interruption for years! Staying in Ubud first then Tuban so info particularly helpful.
You mentioned 'Family Day' at Ku de ta. What day would this be? We are up in Ubud over the w/end & down in Tuban during the week. We have breakie incl at the Bali Hai. Is breakie sooo good here or at La Lucciola's that it is worth going to or does it not happen during the week? Had been dreaming about breakie at La's for months after reading reviews on BTF but then went and booked Ubud over the w/end without thinking about my stomach!
Also, ate at the Dirty Duck last time and not very impressed. Service fairly unfriendly, my choice was U/A and waitresses suggestion of the speciality, duck, not overly to my liking. Very dry and crispy and barely any meat, felt like I hadn't eaten. Admitedly I do eat alot tho! (still using the breastfeeding mother excuse!). I remember hubby having caesar salad too and not too impressed. Just wondering with your review and nearly all people raving on here about it whether we should give them another go tho.
Have dribbled on but thanks again for lots of good info. Sounds like you had a great trip.
