WE opened an account in Denpasar at the Commonwealth Bank this year. We had a (faxed) letter of introduction from our manager to smooth the way. You actually get two accounts (one in rupiah and one is Aussie dollars) and you can transfer money between them. Remember to be patient and not expect things to happen as quickly as in Australia. Their phones and email are VERY slow. Still we got money transferred within 12 hours with a bit of pushing.
