I work in domestic travel. I can send separate couples on the same group tour on the exact same date and when I speak to them afterwards to see how it all went I can have one couple saying it was the best holiday ever, great accommodation, good meals and day tours and the next couple would say they were disappointed and really didn't enjoy themselves. Go figure - as they say you can't please all of the people all of the time. Each has their own expectations.
I sat down one day and wrote down a list of all the hotels we had stayed at in Bali over the years and it came to about 30. From the non air-conditioned, no hot water losmens of our teenage years, to the Oberoi which came before marriage, mortgage and kid, to the middle of the roadies like Legian Beach/Mandira/Puri Raja/Kumala Pantai.
Rama Beach is one of those sitting in the middle and although it is not directly on the beach it is so close and this is reflected in the price. It is great value for money but keep it quiet - we don't want it getting like KP where you can't get a booking :)
