Hi everyone

Has anyone heard about the new Perama boat that will be sailing directly from Padang Bai to Gili Trawangan? I read about it on the Lombok Times website. It is ging to start sailing in June, and will run directly from Padang Bai to Gili Trawangan, then go on to Sengiggi, carrying 100 passengers. The cost will be 200,000rp one way, and will include tea and a meal. Daily departures from Bali will be 14:00, arriving in Gili T at 18:00.

It is still a four hour journey (similar to the normal ferry to Lombok) but certainly saves the hassle and time of arranging transport from the port in Lembar to Bangsal and then having to arrange a boat over to the Gilis. It is also less than a third of the price of the direct speed boat (690,000rp) - abeit twice as long journey-wise.

Still, at least another option for getting to the Gilis more easily and more affordably.
