At a guess I think what you are getting so far is vested interest. Have a look at Peneeda View on the web. I have visted but not stayed, but we are staying there in December in a Seaside Cottage.

Apart from the bottom or southern end of Sanur there are no actual beach-front hotels, even though they say they are such. There is a road in between all properties and the beach

When visiting in 2005 we were quite impressed, With few exceptions it is the closest to a beach-front property you will find in this area of Sanur, and within easy walking of many eateries and markets.

You may like to visit tripadvisor bali through Google where you can find travellers' reviews on most Bali hotels. Enjoy
