you can buy duty free alcohol once you are in the area just before you board the plane. Once you have checked your luggage in, and gone through the check in just inside customs.
You can take the 1 Litre alcohol on board as hand luggage as per normal. You just can't bring it from outside the airport into customs area. It needs to be in your luggage
