No comparison really, Conrad is very new, NDBH a bit outdated. Last stayed there in Sept 06 & will stay there again. If you like hotels with pretty gardens, Conrad really doesn't have one, its pretty much all stone, whereas NDBH has nice gardens. Did not see any kids at all on my stays at the Conrad, except for a couple of babies.
Alternative for a nice quiet hotel is The Laguna Resort & Spa in Nusa Dua (the old Sheraton Laguna). Recently renovated. I have always loved this hotel.
