I thought I was bad and waited nearly 20 years to become 'civilised' (my mother in laws terminology not mine).
However, if we went went to the UK again I would renew my British passport and enter on that ... instead of waiting in line for nearly an hour to be grilled by immigration on what we do for a living and how long we intended to stay Grrrr and there's us with broad Lancashire accents... I was most upset. I remember growling something to the miserable sod to the effect of that as he reluctantly let me back into my country of birth.
I'm over it now :-)
