We (family 2A/2C) parked there while we were in Bali in April. When weighing this option up, aside from the cost being less than a taxi, there were other benefits. For instance in our case a taxi would have had five people (including the driver) in the vehicle but, by taking own car, there were only four. We then had a spot between the two children for any extra luggage.
We were also able to leave extra woolies in the car to put on for the cold ride home and, as we had small children travelling and were arriving in the middle of the night, had a couple of blankets and pillows for them to rest on.
For security I took the parking ticket with us to Bali and kept it with our passports and other docs. I also kept some Aussie $$ to pay with but the machine also takes credit cards. We tried to park near a landmark of sorts and fairly close to where the exit gates where I believe a staff member works in a booth.
