Hi. Thanks to all who replied to my post further down re a BTF get together. It looks like the 18th of May suits the majority of responders so here's the details:
Friday 18th May - 4.30pm @ Sammie & Suzie's (Directions below)
I will be there with my husband, 3 kids (12, 10 & 8) and both sets of our parents (Bali Virgins!)
I hope many of you will be able to come so we can have fun putting faces to forum usernames and swapping Bali tips! Maybe afterwards anyone who is interested can go out for a meal?

Samie & Suzie's is a 'beach bar' on Legian Beach run by a Balinese couple. They have drinks available in an esky ("chilly bin" to us kiwis!) and when it's time to leave they count the bottles under your seat and you pay up (prices very reasonable).
If you are coming from Kuta walk along the wide brickpaved beach walkway heading towards Legian / Seminyak from Jl Melasti (walkway entrance has boomgates across it) until you get to where the Legian Garden Hotel meets the Mandira Hotel. Look out for what looks like a white closed local station/office building on the side of the paved beach road which has a sign on it that reads POS BALAWISTA LEGIAN KELOD Kabupaten Badung. Stand in front of it, turn and face the ocean and step through the gap in the stone wall in front of you onto the beach and there it is!
