well done, well worded, well thought out and straight down to the truth of the matter.

Alas it was not only the Balinese who found the Drinking, loud mouth, disgusting behavior unpleasant. My first trip to Bali in 2001 as a 21 year old kiwi I was gobsmacked at the totally out of line behavior of some young and not so young tourists (may I dare say Ozzie tourists). I was groped, verbally abused and leared at one night by a group of approx twelve 20 something Aussies wearing hideous Hawaiian print shirts, drinking out of coconuts in the front bar of the Sari Club. Why??? cause I walked into the Sari club with my finance and didn't acknowledge them! It was about 5pm :-( I am not saddened if this "old Bali" is gone for ever. I am hopeful that the "new Bali" is one with tourists who respect the country and the people who live there. I certainly don't want it to become a manicured Nusa Dua but a touch of civility and respect is always nice :-).

A nice saying is "remember the three R's; Respect for self; respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions"
