We have stayed there three times now and have rebooked for August this year. This will be the third time we have stayed in the new super deluxe wooden rooms, and my husband and I are staying three nights. The last email said that the rate had gone up!
"I would like to apologize for misquoting the price of the super deluxe wooden, as the room rate has increased as of April 1, 2007 therefore the rate of super deluxe is at Rp 500,000 and your stay falls during the high season, there is a high season surcharge of Rp 50,000 per night on top of the rate. Therefore, the price of Super Deluxe Room in August is at Rp 550,000 per night including breakfast for 2 persons, high season surcharge and tax."
Last year we paid 450,000 rupiah per night for the same week of the year so that seemed a bit of a steep increase, but we love the place so much we could not imagine not going back. The service is so brilliant, plus we love the view -watching the women cutting the rice, winnowing it and lugging huge sacks of rice on their heads (while the men watch, and the old fellow wanders to a corner of the field to pee when the urge takes him ).
I love their restaurant's nasi campur! The staff are great at dropping you off or picking you up from the town centre..and last few times we found the room bar prices very reasonable compared to many other hotels.
