Our trip to Bali is short but we have done longer trips with them as well (states/country WA to country NSW). It gets easier as they get a bit older. Last year they were 9 and 11 on our trip to the states. We make sure they had fully charged gameboys and mps players. A good idea is to get a new game for the gameboy and keep till the flight. Mp3- you can record music but my son had a whole talking book recorded on his. He listened to "the Hobbit". Sudoko book, books, kid magazines and comics, notepad and pencils to draw with. Snacks they like are good, just incase they don't like the food on offer and if they do stay awake and get hungry. Mine like the tiny pillows with little tiny beads in them. They can snuggle up to them a bit and you might even be able to persuade your daughter to forgo her blanky. But if she really wants it I'd let her. My daughter has been the same. I have talked her out of it using the argument it takes up room and she will be able to buy a few more things if she doesn't have to worry about the blanket or favourite soft toy. That usually works and she doesn't appear to miss it either. These day with the individually controlled TVS it really is much easier. Good luck. They will love Bali- make sure you do the fun things like Waterbom, white water rafting, overnight Hai tide huts etc. My kids love these days. Kym
