various tools in a couple of places, one was along Jalan Imam Bonjol.. the road that goes from Kuta to Denpasar... about a kilometer along from Alpha supermarket. As another posted already said, it is not likely you will find anything of good quality... and it is rare to see a Balinese tradesman with even an electric drill!!
Having said that it is mrare to find quality tools, I have seen top of the range Shimane fishing gear in Jalan Sulawesi... so maybe there IS a tool shop some place as well!
