Well We have stayed at BGH about 6 times now I think, I have lost count.
We normal take a group of 10 people most times 2 or 3 of them are new people to Bali that want to tag along.
I have never had a complaint about the BGH from any of them. This is always a worry when you are inviting people to stay as everyone is different. Trust me we have had people from very differet walk of life come along.
Like some of the other comments you are not in the hotel room for that long. The most time you will be there is to sleep and the beds are great. My Back is stuffed but I always have a great sleep at the BGH.
