Waiting, from what I can gather the trip across to Trunyan costs about 40 - 50,000rp. depending on how many in your party. You'd want to set aside about 4 hrs for the trip. What's included? This is something one undertakes of their own volition. Coming back with what you went with is probably the best outcome.
Apparently this is not a very friendly place to visit, but there is a certain amount of intrigue for me. The people are apparently descended from the original inhabitants of Bali. There's a large statue which is not meant to be seen by outsiders, and they have a rather unique and freaky "burial" ground you can only access by water.
From what I hear the locals are reluctant to let you leave before you have handed over a substantial amount of your readies. So the idea is to take only a certain amount with you.
I hope to take the trip over during the next couple of weeks, but with a local chap we have struck up a friendship with.
I've been trying to get there for the last couple of years, but no one's game!
My better half refuses to go, and is very reluctant to let me.
I hope this gives you an idea what it's about.
