I stayed there October 2005 with my partner and found the resort quiet and indeed relaxing. Wouldn't say it was set up for kids though but I havent stayed at any resort designed with kids in mind. They have a great spa with specials of about $16 for a 4 hour massage, body scrub, relaxing bath, head and nail treatment. The rooms were nice and clean, indoor/outdoor bathroom. The pool was spotless, friendly staff, and more than adaquate restaurant. Its a fair way up the road from the tourist spots but we only had a 45 second wait for a taxi. I would have no hesitation in staying there again. My partner has been to bali many times and I will seek her advice in regards to a good resort. I gather you want budget? Bali Ayu didnt feel like it. Hope this gives you a bit of insight, happy to answer any questions if I can .. When are you going? and have fun.
